Responsibilities

Contributes to a team-based approach to patient care, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow through the Emergency Department

Provides direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse

Demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff

Maintains responsibility and accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies

Qualification

Basic medical terminologyBLS certificationCPR certificationCNA certificationComputer familiarityFast-paced environment

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Current American Heart Association BLS for Provider certification required

Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required

Registered or Certified Nursing Assistant (RNA/CNA) required for employees who perform this job in the state of Washington (including those who float into the role)

Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist required for employees who perform phlebotomy in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role)

Basic medical terminology

Computer familiarity

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments
