Responsibilities
Ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment in the Boiler Room and mechanical rooms according to established standards
Performs skilled work associated with the maintenance and repair of equipment and tools in the Boiler Room and mechanical rooms
Effectively monitors fire alarms and reports emergency codes to communications
Supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
New Jersey State Stationary Black Seal In-Charge License minimum required at the City Campus
New Jersey State Stationary Blue Seal in Charge License minimum required at the Mainland Campus
Valid NJ Driver's License required
Minimum of 3 years boiler room as a Black Seal In-Charge
Must possess a general knowledge in electrical/mechanical skills
Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications, as well as manufacturers' instruction manuals
Preferred
1 year trade school or equivalent preferred
Advanced license preferred
