Responsibilities
Execute real‑time asset‑backed trading for power assets managed by Total, including owned and third‑party assets
Monitor and oversee SCADA/EMS systems to ensure reliable operational performance
Identify and capture market opportunities through real‑time position management and analysis of market conditions
Maximize asset‑backed revenue through economic dispatch and operational excellence
Capture market opportunities by evaluating real‑time positions and analyzing current market conditions
Execute strategies developed by the Optimization team and submit bids to the various ancillary services markets
Collect, query, and analyze large datasets in Excel, and accurately present analytical findings
Prioritize deliverables and manage multiple tasks to meet time‑sensitive deadlines
Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants and ISO operators
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, engineering, business administration, or equivalent experience
Foundational understanding of the North American power industry, commodity and financial trading, and risk management, supported by a demonstrated trading or analytical track record
Strong motivation to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
Forward‑thinking, performance‑driven mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work 12‑hour rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation
Preferred
Preferred experience with Python, R, or MATLAB, along with strong quantitative skills
