Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to lead, oversee coordinate and manage the technical construction aspects to ensure alignment with engineering designs

This role works closely with project managers, design engineers, owner’s engineers, contractors and equipment vendors during project planning and execution to ensure seamless integration of HVDC, electrical and structural components

Provides daily technical support to construction activities, including installation of converter stations, interfacing utilities, interfacing transmission lines, and related equipment

Managing a team of 20 people

Support the development and preconstruction team in the planning and assessment of potential new projects

Support the creation of conceptual design and front-end engineering design activities, developing technical specifications, and evaluating proposals

Support the develop and preparation of specialized commissioning plans and acceptance criteria for the installation of HVDC transmission systems considering overall generation integration

Needs both commissioning and design experience

Great understanding of HVDC, both on operational side and solutions side

Mostly hands-on role as opposed to studies focused
