This part-time remote role offers hands-on exposure to power system analysis, automation, and digital grid solutions while working closely with experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and enhancing automation and analysis tools using Python and scripting integrated with PSS®E , TSAT , and PSCAD
Support power system studies by analyzing performance data to improve reliability, stability, and efficiency
Build, run, and validate power system models using PowerWorld , PSS®E , MATLAB/Simulink , ETAP , and PSCAD
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support project execution and technical deliverables
Participate in data collection, documentation, and occasional site or commissioning support as required
Stay informed on industry standards, grid modernization trends, and energy automation technologies

Required

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Solid understanding of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, distribution, and protection
Strong Python programming skills for data analysis and tool customization
Hands-on or academic experience with PowerWorld, PSS®E, MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, and PSCAD
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaboratively within a team
