Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Visit Fort Wayne is Allen County’s official destination marketing organization. The role involves creating, managing, and disseminating marketing and communications content to attract visitors to Fort Wayne/Allen County, along with responsibilities in email marketing and project management within a marketing team.

Responsibilities

Write content for e-newsletters, blog, website, and other marketing efforts
Assist with the execution of marketing efforts, promotions, and campaigns
Write, edit, and produce numerous e-newsletters and professional communications in a timely and coordinated manner – in conjunction with our Marketing Team
Assist with varied marketing efforts – helping design, create and implement messaging and materials needed. General marketing support to a variety of projects and efforts across the organization
Assist with the writing and production of visitor publications
Manage the promotion of our CurrentFortWayne.com community Calendar of Events via e-newsletters and other community promotions
Assist with management of digital passes (creation, prize redemption, and updates.)
Assist the Visitors Center with their marketing needs
Manage our annual Ad Buy – working to manage our budget and advertising goals – placing TV, digital and print ads in our target markets
Assist with data collection and dissemination
Work with Visit Fort Wayne partners (restaurants, attractions, hotels, etc) to help them promote their businesses to Fort Wayne’s visitors
Manage print projects and collateral needs – working with vendors to place and track orders and stay on budget

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or related field from an academic institution
Experience in writing, public relations, digital marketing, or marketing preferred
Experience using email programs and some experience with analytical tracking preferred
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Project management skills: detail-oriented and capable of meeting simultaneous and frequent deadlines
Very organized, and can manage multiple projects well. Process-oriented
Strong work ethic with high energy and enthusiasm

Preferred

Knowledge of convention and tourism industries is a plus
