Senior Human Resources Manager (Family Office)
Confidential company is seeking a Senior HR Manager to oversee and manage all human resources functions for a private family estate. This role requires a seasoned HR professional who will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, HR operations, and compliance management.

Responsibilities
Manage all recruiting for 10+ hires annually
Write job descriptions and work with agencies to find qualified domestic staff. Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates
Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility
Prepare and deliver offer letters and employment agreements
Run new hire orientation and trainings
Set up payroll, documentation, and systems access
Manage terminations and exit processes professionally and discreetly
Maintain confidential personnel files
Oversee performance reviews, ongoing training, and employee development plans
Coordinate workplace scheduling, classifications, and compliance
Provide coaching and support to staff, while driving company objectives
Address interpersonal issues privately and diplomatically
Keep household leadership informed of key issues and trends
Maintain compliance with California labor laws
Manage workers’ compensation, safety documentation, and training
Oversee confidential workplace investigations when needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years HR leadership experience
Experience with private households, UHNW family offices, or luxury hospitality
Strong communication, discretion, and judgment
Ability to operate independently without daily oversight
Knowledge of California employment law
