Responsibilities

Demonstrate strong professional judgment, ethical conduct, effective communication, and collaborative teamwork aligned with Mitsubishi Power core competencies
Review project contracts and documentation while planning, forecasting, and scheduling commissioning personnel and resources based on weekly project progress
Develop, refine, and maintain commissioning SOPs, field procedures, and documentation to support commissioning and startup activities
Ensure accurate, complete, and up-to-date commissioning records, check sheets, and project documentation across all sites
Ability to read and understand project drawings, Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), process diagrams, and function diagrams related to engineered systems
Follow Mitsubishi Power safety requirements at all times
Strong organizational and supervisory skills needed
Actively participate in Mitsubishi company sponsored training programs
Perform other such duties as may be required
Work in the global environment to maintain standards and latest practices
Always possess a valid and up to date driver’s license and passport

Required

A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or technical diploma from college or university and 2-5 Years extensive direct experience in power generation commissioning
Rotating Equipment (Steam Turbine, Gas Turbine, Generators, Aero-derivatives) is required
Experience commissioning with other OEM's is desired
An understanding of commissioning activities such as mechanical commissioning, testing, pipe flushing, and initial plant startup and testing would be beneficial for this role
An understanding of thermodynamic and fluid dynamic principles related to Combined Cycle Power Plant would be beneficial
Able to analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients
Strong analytical skills related to engineering problem solving
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required
Always possess a valid and up to date driver's license and passport
Minimal travel May be required – potential to visit project sites involving both domestic and international travel for up to 20% of the assigned work year

Preferred

Multilingual in Japanese, Spanish and/or Portuguese would be an asset
