Responsibilities
Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery
Take and defend depositions, work with expert witnesses/examine witnesses at trial, argue motions in court
Handle mediation
Manage the discovery practice - including client productions, e-discovery databases, development of targeted search terms, Meet &. Confers
Prepare pleadings and contested motions (such as complaints, oppositions to motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, class certification, and other complex litigation briefing)
Supervise more junior attorneys and support staff
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience running the full litigation lifecycle (investigation, pleadings, discovery, deposition, trial)
Strong oral advocacy experience and excellent writing ability
Self-starter, driven and independent - ready to jump in, learn quickly, take ownership of cases and work in a very fast-paced environment
Intellectually curious and strategic - enjoy complex litigation, thinking out of the box, taking on intellectual challenges
Licensed with the New York State Bar
