HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care hospital committed to delivering high-quality healthcare. They are seeking a Telecom Operator PRN to operate the telephone switchboard and perform various communication duties to support the hospital's operations.

Responsibilities

Operate a console telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing and inter-facility calls, providing information to callers as appropriate

Perform various hospital communication duties such as overhead paging, beeper paging, monitoring alarms, gas levels and fire alarms, and alerting personnel of impending disasters, fires and codes notifying appropriate personnel as required

Train new hires, keep resources updated, clean the work space, and all other duties deemed necessary by the management team

Required

High School Graduate / GED

Basic reading comprehension required

Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with at least a 30 words per minute speed

Ability to perform calmly, competently and quickly in emergency situations required

Ability to fluently speak and understand English required

Multiline telephone system or Call Center experience
