Responsibilities

Core Banner Development: Design, code, test, and maintain expert-level PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to drive critical Banner CIS module functionality

Application Enhancement: Develop and significantly enhance Oracle Forms applications to modernize and improve user interaction within Banner CIS

Data & Reporting Mastery: Create and optimize complex SQL reports, data extracts, and high-volume queries to meet rigorous operational, regulatory, and business intelligence requirements

System Optimization: Conduct advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of existing Banner CIS applications, database objects, and processes to ensure maximum stability and speed

Technical Leadership: Analyze detailed technical and functional requirements, translating them into robust, scalable solutions that align with core Banner CIS architecture and workflows

Collaboration: Partner closely with functional analysts and infrastructure teams on system enhancements, application patching, version upgrades, and integration projects

Required

15+ Years of Focused Experience: Proven, extensive experience as a Developer working directly with the Banner CIS (Customer Information System/Utility) platform

Expert PL/SQL & Oracle Forms: Mastery in all aspects of Oracle PL/SQL programming and deep development experience with Oracle Forms (current versions preferred)

Advanced SQL: Demonstrated ability to write, tune, and optimize complex SQL, including aggregate functions, window functions, and advanced joins for large datasets

Banner CIS Architecture: In-depth, functional understanding of the Banner CIS data model (tables, views) and core utility business processes (e.g., billing, meter reading, customer service)

Performance Tuning: Practical, successful experience with database and application performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and system enhancement implementation

Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to pass a criminal background check

Authorized to work in the US for any employer
