Responsibilities
Review applications for accuracy
Communicate with “clients” (vendors, dealers, brokers, customers etc.) in a professional manner via phone or email
Research industries, markets, and equipment as necessary
Underwrite and decision transactions generally ranging from $350,000 to $2,000,000 within designated authority
Provide recommendations to senior members of the credit team on transactions above designated authority
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Obtain & analyze public and private information such as Dun & Bradstreet reports, Paynet reports, Secretary of State corporate name verifications, Credit Bureau reports etc
Review and spread financial statements to provide formative analysis regarding performance and trends
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience of commercial credit/lending underwriting experience and financial statement analysis
At least 2 years of experience in underwriting healthcare, IT, or franchise lending industries
Credit approval authority of $500K–$1M
Proven ability to review, understand, and communicate financial statements and utilize data to risk-rate transactions
Prior single signature approval authority within a risk finance investment environment
Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions within company policy
Preferred
Collections background is a plus
