Facilities Assistant
PLP Company is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join their shop team in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of all PLP Company properties while supporting daily facility operations.

Responsibilities
Maintain all PLP Company properties through routine groundskeeping, including grass cutting, trimming, weed removal, spraying, and general landscaping
Assist with snow removal and winter maintenance operations as required
Ensure all yards and dumpster areas are clean and free of debris; perform regular trash collection and disposal
Install, replace, and maintain company signage as necessary
Organize, stack, and maintain pallets, totes, and materials within storage sheds and yard areas
Coordinate removal of scrap metal and waste oil as needed
Perform daily checks of propane tanks and nitrogen bottles; replace or refill as required
Conduct routine sweeping and cleaning of all facilities, empty trash and waste receptacles daily prior to the close of business
Maintain cleanliness and general condition of company-provided vehicles
Replace interior lighting in offices and break rooms as needed
Replace and restock furnace filters on a scheduled basis, at minimum monthly
Monitor and replenish facility supplies, including paper products and copier/printer paper
Track and restock shop and field consumables as required
Assist with unloading deliveries and verifying received materials under the direction of the Inventory Control Specialist or Parts Specialist
Support incoming and outgoing shipments and freight activities as needed
Perform deliveries and pickups of materials, bids, equipment, and documentation
Aid the shop team as directed by the Fleet Manager, including pickup and delivery of parts, supplies, and equipment
Support field operations as directed, including posting temporary signage, delivering materials or equipment, and transporting bids or job documentation
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills with employees, purchasing personnel, and external vendors
Basic knowledge of inventory control and material handling procedures
Highly organized with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Valid driver's license required
Acceptable driving record with no major violations within the past five (5) years and eligibility for coverage under the company's insurance program
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to navigate warehouses and reach items both high and low
Preferred
Forklift Operator Certification
CDL License
