Responsibilities

Serve as Solution Architect for enterprise tax and revenue management systems

Support and maintain legacy Integrated Revenue Management Systems (IRMS)

Assist in tax system modernization initiatives

Design and support interfaces between legacy and modern tax platforms

Ensure stability, accuracy, and performance of mission-critical tax applications

Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight

Collaborate with cross-functional and multi-disciplined teams

Support Agile development processes and project tracking activities

Required

Strong product and functional knowledge of Integrated Tax and Revenue Management Systems or similar state tax systems – 9+ years

Experience supporting legacy tax platforms and modernization efforts – 7+ years

Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle 19c or higher, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar) – 7+ years

Ability to design and maintain clear, maintainable code for mission-critical systems – 7+ years

Experience using software project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent – 2+ years

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplined team – 3+ years

Experience working in an Agile development environment – 3+ years

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Technical knowledge and hands-on experience designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting state tax processing and revenue management systems – 8+ years

Demonstrated experience serving as a technical authority or principal architect for state revenue systems, providing strategic direction and oversight – 8+ years
