Business Development Manager – Plastics/Injection Molding

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to take ownership of an existing customer portfolio, drive new business, and build relationships with key clients in various sectors.

Responsibilities
Take ownership of and grow an existing customer portfolio, primarily located in Detroit and Chicago
Drive approximately $2M in new business landed annually, focusing on key sectors: automotive (70%), lawn/garden, industrial, medical, renewable energy, data centers, and drone manufacturing
Build relationships with Tier 1 customers and engage directly with engineers on technical requirements and value solutions
Enjoy a strong support system, including a comprehensive handover from a departing account manager and access to in-house/rep-group resources
Work independently and remotely, with periodic, fully expensed travel to clients and manufacturing facilities
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years experience in plastics/injection molding sales or account management (automotive, lawn/garden, industrial, renewable, or medical markets strongly preferred)
Proven ability to manage and grow major accounts while driving substantial new business
Technical proficiency to converse with engineers, review cost breakdowns, and oversee the sales process independently
Highly self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote set-up
