They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and run backend systems that remain fast, correct, and reliable under high concurrency while integrating LLM-driven workflows.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain backend microservices in Python and TypeScript
Design high-throughput, lightweight concurrency pipelines
Own production workloads on GCP (Cloud Run, Firestore, Pub/Sub, monitoring, scaling)
Integrate and harden LLM / AI workflows, including evaluation and safety guardrails
Debug complex production issues using logs, traces, and system-level reasoning
Qualification
Required
Deep experience with Python concurrency (async, event loops, multiprocessing, streaming I/O)
Strong TypeScript skills and type-safe system design instincts
Hands-on experience operating production systems on GCP
Ability to design efficient distributed systems and reason about performance at scale
Practical experience working with LLMs / AI systems and their failure modes
Strong security mindset for handling sensitive data
Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud-native tooling
Experience with Firestore, Redis, and MySQL, including idempotency and retry-safe designs
Available from 9am-2pm PT for meetings. Flexible hours otherwise
