They are seeking a Business Development Manager to enhance their presence in the motorsports and automotive industries by identifying and closing new business opportunities while building long-term partnerships with customers.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business through networking, referrals, outbound prospecting, and industry presence
Build, manage, and convert a robust institutional sales pipeline using CRM tools
Maintain accurate account data, forecasts, and performance reporting
Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and competitive bid strategies
Sell and support digital B2B ordering solutions aligned to customer needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
Understand customer requirements and deliver tailored uniform and apparel solutions
Represent 5.11 at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and conferences
Actively embed in the motorsports and automotive industries by developing field-specific knowledge and language
Partner closely with internal teams including Sales Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, Custom Programs, Inventory Management, Demand & Supply Planning, and Product Development
Ensure customer expectations are met across product, service, and supply
Align business development activity with broader organizational objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of business development or sales experience
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets

Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office tools
Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% (100+ nights per year)
