Creative Specialist

Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) is an innovative engineering firm that values creativity in its marketing efforts. The Creative Specialist will serve as the primary visual designer, responsible for creating compelling graphics, videos, and marketing materials that effectively communicate the firm's initiatives and brand identity.

Responsibilities

Create visual stories by developing original graphics that concisely convey complex initiatives in an easy-to-understand way. Projects include but are not limited to digital graphics, proposal templates, ad publications, e-mail marketing components, intranet, presentation decks, promotional items, and internal communication pieces
Develop visually appealing and engaging designs for various marketing materials, including print collateral, digital assets, social media graphics, email campaigns, website elements, and advertisements
Film and edit high-quality visual storytelling content that informs, engages, and inspires customers, partners, and employees across the organization
Build and strengthen relationships in the workplace to help drive new standards, improve delivery quality, and increase workflow efficiency
Collaborate with teams to conceptualize and execute design solutions that can be translated across various platforms
Manage Brand Guidelines for consistency across the firm and to meet quality standards
Asset management of visual and graphic library
Generate original campaign artwork upon request including modifying existing content for appropriate use in digital channels
Build and strengthen content partner relationships to drive new standards, improve delivery quality, and increase workflow efficiency
Develop, maintain, and manage library of creative assets including project photography, stock imagery, videos and info graphics
Keep projects ongoing and video development ideas that elevate PEC to new levels of creativity and message effectiveness
Provide a constant stream of visual content for social media channels that engage members and the public in achieving stated advocacy goals, including photos, videos, graphics, infographics, and data visualization for the purpose of driving advocacy actions
Tracks progress towards achievement of project goals
Presentation of creative concepts to internal clients
Keep up with visual changes and trends in social media platforms
Design and formatting of brochures, event promotion, booklets, signage, and other marketing material. Design and formatting of charts, graphs, tables and infographics
Formatting of white papers and reports
Image research, selection and acquisition
Perform duties as a project manager for design work, understanding the specific project needs to move each design project forward
Team player and self-starter with the ability to effectively coordinate and engage with other marketing teammates, as well as other internal team members
Keep up to date with new marketing methods, technology, video and graphics trends
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

Required

Strong graphic design background, with a solid portfolio demonstrating creativity, illustration, typography, visual storytelling, and production
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Aer Effects) and Microsoft Office applications
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and confidential information and meeting deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy
Concept development and execution
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors
Capable of adjusting to changing priorities and work demands
Ability to work with a limited degree of supervision
Ability to work under pressure and to make decisions independently
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences
Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience required
A portfolio that illustrates digital graphic design work and writing samples will be required
Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience within an in-house marketing or creative department with graphic design as a primary responsibility required
