Contract Acquisition Specialist II (Hybrid)
Motus Recruiting and Staffing, Inc. is a leading recruiting and staffing firm in the Pacific Northwest. They are seeking a Contract Acquisition Specialist II to support their Grants & Agreements team, providing procurement support and ensuring efficient contracting processes.
Responsibilities
Gather, review, draft, and edit contract and acquisition documents, including award decision documentation
Research legal, contractual, vendor, and company information to support procurement activities
Draft internal and external communications, including vendor correspondence and stakeholder emails
Assist with preparing solicitation documentation for Contracting Officer review and approval
Support development and administration of blanket purchase agreements and task orders, including data entry, document validation, and assembly of complete contract files (pricing, terms, SOWs, signature pages)
Coordinate contract closeout activities by validating completion of services, confirming invoice payment, and preparing closeout documentation
Perform price analysis and provide recommendations based on findings
Assist in developing statements of work (SOWs) and conducting market research
Support procurement planning activities, including identifying purchase methods, contract types, and potential risks
Coordinate and support contractor and client meetings, including scheduling, materials preparation, note-taking, and follow-up tracking
Issue solicitation packages and process award decisions in accordance with established procedures
Review contractor performance information and provide feedback to Contracting Officers
Respond to internal customer inquiries related to contract and solicitation processes
Contribute to process standardization and efficiency by recommending best practices, templates, and procedural improvements
Assist with implementation of approved process changes, including documentation updates and stakeholder communication
Provide on-the-job training and cross-training support to team members as requested
Serve as backup support for acquisition staff across the organization as needed
Qualification
Required
With a Bachelor's degree: 2–4 years of directly related experience in service procurement and/or financial assistance
Without a Bachelor's degree: 3–5 years of directly related experience in service procurement and/or financial assistance, and 24 semester hours of coursework in one or more of the following areas: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational/management studies
Resumes must clearly document qualifying coursework, including course titles, semester hours, and educational institution
Experience supporting professional services, IT services, and/or financial assistance procurement is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in any field is preferred; a degree in Supply & Logistics Management or a related discipline is highly preferred
Experience with federal or public-sector procurement, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is preferred
Background supporting procurement within the energy or utility industry is preferred
Strong editing and proofreading skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy is preferred
Experience administering or drafting federal grants and agreements, including familiarity with 2 CFR 200 or similar regulatory frameworks is preferred
