Easterseals New Jersey is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. They are seeking a Residential Counselor to assist group home residents with daily living activities and provide high-quality services to help consumers achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

Support consumers in achieving personal care goals and addressing ongoing challenges
Educate consumers on medications, track logs, and conduct monthly audits
Coordinate services based on individual needs
Transports consumers using the company van as needed
Deliver high-quality care in line with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP)
Accurately document services within required timeframes using electronic health records

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in mental healthVerbal communicationWritten communicationMicrosoft Office SuiteValid driver’s license

Required

Bachelor's Degree in mental health, psychology, sociology, or social work, human services or a related field from an accredited college or university
A combination of one (1) or more years' of college, plus related life or work experience equal to four (4) years
High school diploma or GED plus four (4) years of related work or life experience
Possess a valid driver's license & acceptable driving record
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
