Responsibilities

Reports to the Program Manager

Works alone or with a team

Provides digital and analog telecommunication maintenance and repair services to include but not limited to telephone switches, transport systems, voicemail systems, and cable/fiber optic distribution systems

Installs telecommunications equipment and systems

Performs telecommunications preventative maintenance inspections

Provides on-call/after normal duty hour support as required

Solves complex problems by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and removing/replacing telecommunications equipment and systems

Develops technical recommendations for modification or replacement of telecommunications cable infrastructure and systems

Fulfills other work center duties as assigned

Provides support to other contract work centers in cases of manpower shortages or unexpected requirements

Required

Three years of outside plant and/or cable experience required

H.S. diploma or equivalent

US Secret security clearance required

Ability to stand for long periods of time
