RF Engineering Intern

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated RF engineering intern to join their Oxnard, CA team. The intern will support the design and testing of advanced RF components and integrated assemblies, collaborating with senior engineers to contribute to innovative solutions and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Test and evaluate RF components and modules to ensure performance meets design specifications
Generate and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for RF products and assemblies
Design and support the development of test fixtures for RF characterization
Support ongoing engineering development projects and product initiatives
Support the creation and maintenance of technical design documentation
Provide engineering support for existing products while working closely with senior engineers

Required

Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
Familiarity with RF theory principles through coursework, academic project work, or industry work
Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, or related diagnostic tools
Ability to work both independently and in team environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
This position requires you to have the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens

Preferred

Solid understanding of RF circuit fundamentals and design techniques
Experience with RF simulation tools such as AWR, MATLAB, HFSS, or equivalent circuit/EM simulation software
Experience with CAD tools for circuit design and layout
Capable of independently conducting RF measurements using Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and other lab instrumentation
