Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking high-performing college students for their internship and co-op opportunities. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals in various departments, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the commercial organization.

Responsibilities

Field-based interns will spend most of their time in the field learning the job responsibilities of a Territory Manager

The intern may travel to various customer offices or dealer gasoline locations with a Territory Manager, assist in prospecting for new customers, and assume responsibility for projects/studies relating to station financials and operation

In addition, the intern will have the opportunity for exposure to different components of the Commercial organization and other corporate components such as: Product Quality, Governmental Affairs, Business Development, Terminal, Transport & Rail

Strong academic performance

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future

Concurrent enrollment in a bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience

Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work

Availability to work 40 hours per week

Desired major and or minor – Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics or other related disciplines

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
