Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and oversight for mechanical design across healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and advanced industrial projects
Serve as a department “table leader” — guiding technical decisions, problem-solving, and design strategy
Mentor and develop mechanical staff; support career growth and technical rigor
Establish and uphold mechanical engineering standards, best practices, and quality control
Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, and firm leadership on project execution
Support workload planning, staffing strategy, and resource alignment across the department
Participate in proposal development, technical narratives, and pursuit strategy (preferred, not required)

Required

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
15+ years of experience
Strong technical credibility
Ability to lead teams in a 100% remote environment

Preferred

Strong background in healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities
Experience with data centers or other mission-critical environments
Proven ability to lead distributed/remote teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients, partners, and internal teams
Comfortable operating at both a technical and strategic level
