Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic communications leader for the Medtronic Finance function
Develop and deliver internal and external communications plans, messages, and tactics that achieve business outcomes
Effectively counsel business partners – including executives – and develop and maintain effective relationships across all levels of management and employees
Provide both strategy development and flawless execution
Leverage deep domain expertise in organizational communications to engage and inspire the employee audience
Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts and inform improvements/adjustments to future initiatives
Effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and excel under pressure
Travel up to 10 percent of the time

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of people or program managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of people or program managerial experience

Preferred

Excellent writing, editing, and creative skills
Ability to effectively counsel business partners, manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and excel under pressure
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
Creative problem-solving skills and solid business acumen to connect communication strategies to business objectives
Willingness to learn and implement the Medtronic brand voice in communications
Accuracy, accountability, and strong organizational skills are essential to a successful performance
