Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer

Responsibilities

As an Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer for Land and Air Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the early integration and formal test of aircraft subsystems
Within this position you will use your troubleshooting and testing skills to develop hardware test plans and procedures and perform formal testing based on customer requirements to verify compliance for aircraft subsystems
Experience drafting formal test procedures based on military standards (MIL-STD-810, 461, 464, 704, etc.), or commercial equivalent standards (Example: DO-160 test standard)
Executed formal hardware qualification to verify customer requirements to include Environmental, hardware bench testing, or Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
Designed and developed early integration test plans and procedures to verify hardware for embedded systems
Developed strategies for what is required for lab test equipment based on test design
Experience in test equipment design, drafting, and releasing of documents. Procure the parts, assembly the test equipment, and integrate with the system under test (SUT)
Experience with thermal chambers, and vibration tables and controls
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot problems down to the component level
Can troubleshoot equipment, test software or product failures as required and implement solutions
Experience in or ability to learn communication protocols to include I2C, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), USB, General-purpose Input/Output (GPIOs), Controller Area Network (CAN bus), Recommended Standard 232 (RS232), one-wire, Recommended Standard 485 (RS485)
Experience with Interface buses like I2C and SPI
Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
Works well with other disciplines and engineering groups such as hardware and software design engineers for test design and resolving technical problems
Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Required

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
Requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
