Responsibilities

Support installation and migration of IT hardware, cabling, power distribution, and related components
Perform maintenance and system upgrades impacting infrastructure components
Diagnose, repair, and replace hardware; coordinate vendor support as needed
Decommission legacy hardware and complete reconciliation processes
Install and maintain support infrastructure (e.g., cable trays, PDUs, shelves)
Terminate copper and fiber cabling
Document processes and procedures, including DCIM installation and updates
Maintain accurate records of system changes and labeling of hardware/cabling
Coordinate and escort vendors for hardware and facilities maintenance
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational policies
Respond to incidents, including high-severity issues
Collaborate with Facilities for maintenance and inspections
Perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implement solutions

Required

High School diploma or GED
Entry-level data center experience
Basic knowledge of fiber, copper, power cables, and related infrastructure
Familiarity with air handling hardware, generators, fire suppression systems
Understanding of electrical systems (PDU, UPS), HVAC, and chillers
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams
Ability to follow written procedures and maintain confidentiality
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and adapt to changing demands
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

Associate degree or higher in IT-related field
Certifications: CompTIA Server+, A+, Network+, or OEM certifications (Dell, HP, IBM)
Basic facilities knowledge (HVAC systems, PDUs, UPS systems)
