PPG is a leading company in the aerospace industry, seeking an Aerospace Advanced Process Controls Engineer to enhance production processes. The role involves designing and implementing manufacturing controls, overseeing production operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Participate in the development and design of the controls of a Green Field Site

Participating as a team member in a specific phase of an engineering assignment; directing preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects; providing technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians

Develop RFQs, SOW and directly manage vendors and contractors, plan and execute the totality of the project, direct workflow reviews as needed, and coordinate equipment installation

Field supervision of employees and contractors, improving labor relations, and leading inter-disciplinary teams

Project and special process documentation, including technical writing of standard operating procedures (SOP), operations manuals, and training documentation

Assist with capital budgeting and fiscal control of projects, justifying ROA/ROE/ROI, total bid process including bidder lists and bid comparison, strategic cost avoidance and reduction

Bachelor's degree in Software, Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent work experience & certifications is required

Five (5) or more years of experience with project management in an industrial capacity required

Preferred

Experience with GE Proficy

Knowledge of PLC's, Allen Bradley PLC is a plus
