Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to meet diverse business needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations
Integrate data from multiple sources including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, and cloud platforms such as Azure Data Lake and AWS
Perform data modeling, transformation, and cleansing using ETL tools like Informatica and Talend to ensure accurate reporting
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and Python scripts for data extraction and analysis
Implement RESTful APIs for seamless data integration and automation of reporting processes
Conduct analysis of large datasets using Spark, Apache Hive, and other big data technologies to uncover trends and insights
Optimize database design for performance and scalability in data warehouse environments
Support model training and analysis skills development by creating predictive analytics models within Power BI
Maintain documentation of dashboards, data sources, workflows, and technical specifications in an agile environment
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio of dashboards and reports
Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and SQL programming
Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and Azure Data Lake
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for data storage and processing
Knowledge of ETL processes using Informatica, Talend, or similar tools for data integration
Understanding of database design principles for data warehouses and linked data architectures
Experience working within Agile development methodologies to deliver iterative solutions efficiently
Ability to analyze complex datasets using analytics techniques to generate actionable insights
Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions
