Responsibilities
Works with the Neuroscience Lead, Hardware Lead and academic and industrial collaborators to design, build, and test new nanoparticle neurotechnology
Working with a cross functional, interdisciplinary team to integrate hardware, software, nanoscience, data science, and regulatory to build new BCI technology
Design, build, and test sensor prototypes
Support in vitro and in vivo neurotechnology experiments with custom instrumentation and data analysis
Help operate and maintain our neurotech laboratories
Grow the IP portfolio of the company
Promote scientific advances in the company through peer review publication and by speaking at conferences
Qualification
Required
Expertise in neurotechnology, electric engineering, and magnetics
Strong track record in rapid prototyping and creative engineering
Familiarity with integrating hardware, software, and data processing to develop technologies and products
Ability to work in a fast paced early stage startup
Collaboration experience with academic laboratories and CROs
Track record of independent work on research projects
An excellent publication/patent history in neurotechnology and related fields
Advance degree in neuroscience, electric engineering, bioengineering or a related field with 0-2 years of industrial or academic postdoctoral experience
A willingness to take on high risk, high reward challenges
Preferred
BCI experience a plus
Experience with firmware engineering and microfabrication a plus
Familiarity with biotech applications and medical devices
