Responsibilities
Supervise and develop engineering teams specializing in design-build services (HVAC, Plumbing, Process Piping, Industrial, Refrigeration, Controls)
Mentor and train engineers and Team Leads
Assign, coordinate, and schedule all incoming projects
Ensure Project Managers' defined scope is delivered per project schedules
Conduct application and constructability reviews on projects
Provide daily supervision of engineering personnel
Assist in developing and maintaining standard BIM and engineering practices, including QA processes
Participate in performance reviews and make recommendations to the Engineering Manager
Support pre-sales efforts, including system selection, code review, and application evaluation
Evaluate potential projects to minimize corporate risk in conjunction with the Engineering Manager
Foster collaboration between engineers and other departments
Maintain engineering standards and policies
Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and project teams
Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
Qualification
Required
BS in Engineering or Construction Management
7+ years of experience, including 4 years in a leadership role managing engineers
Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and constructability
Excellent familiarity with Building Codes and industry standards
Proficient in building modeling
Skilled in team development and people management
