Mechanical Facilities Engineer Intern
Merrick & Company is seeking a college or graduate school student studying Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering for a paid internship in Summer 2026. The internship will provide hands-on experience in architectural engineering with a focus on mechanical systems, including HVAC analysis and design, plumbing design, and energy conservation.

Responsibilities
Gain technical experience in the field of architectural engineering with a focus on mechanical systems
Be exposed to a variety of engineering experiences and tasks including facility heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC) analysis and design, plumbing and piping design, the LEED certification process, sustainable buildings and systems, and energy conservation
Collaborate with other disciplines, interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Qualification
Required
Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible
Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering (with an emphasis on thermodynamic systems) or Architectural Engineering (with an emphasis on mechanical systems) from an ABET accredited university
Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in grad school
Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship
