TAB Certified Technician
McKenney's, Inc. is seeking experienced Test & Balance Technicians to join their team. This mid-level position is responsible for performing Testing, Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) of projects in accordance with NEBB standards to ensure customer comfort and system efficiency.

Responsibilities
Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components
Testing and adjustment of air and hydronic systems, using specialized, company provided, equipment
Diagnose, Test, Adjust, and Balance system components to achieve optimal system performance
Investigate system and operational deficiencies to determine corrective actions. Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques
Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures
Pay attention to the details and ensure all Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing performed, as well as any issues discovered are addressed fully using clear verbiage and accompanied with supporting documentation
Actively participate in the company’s NEBB TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required NEBB and company standards and practices are maintained
Collaborate with McKenney’s construction foremen and project managers on projects to ensure timely resolution of issues
Qualification
Required
NEBB TAB Certified Technician (or AABC or TABB Certification)
A minimum of two years' experience in the TAB industry
Clean driving record and MVR
High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent
Basic Microsoft Operating System knowledge (Excel & MS Word)
Preferred
NEBB TAB Certified Technician or NEBB TAB Certified Professional
Five years of experience in the TAB industry
Experience in healthcare facility testing
Knowledge of ASHRAE 170
Knowledge of NFPA stairwell pressurization criteria
