Responsibilities

Designs, implements, and maintains all data network infrastructure technologies

Designs methodology and utilizes software and hardware tools to identify, diagnose, and correct problems affecting system performance

Interacts with vendors and other Avera sites to coordinate the installation, configuration, and use of multi-site systems

Interacts with end-users, vendors and Avera management and staff at all sites to coordinate the installation, configuration, and use of multi-site systems

Implements and maintains systems supported by IT. Monitors the implementations to assure proper operation and adherence to standards

Works with the Network Architects to specify network system topology and design architecture, including standards and documentation development and enforcement

Maintains logs and device inventories, as well as appropriate documentation including but not limited to application notes, drawings, and configuration information

Actively participates in meetings concerning the evaluation and recommendation of network infrastructure budgets, designs, and components

Ensures the highest level of security for data at rest, data in motion, and data being processed in compliance with state and federal regulations, healthcare industry standards, IT industry standards, and Avera policies concerning security and data integrity

Ability to work the specified hours

Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties

Preferred

Bachelor's in related technical discipline

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Cisco

4-6 years Related experience and/or training

Experience in network technologies such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, routing protocols, switching, Wi-Fi (wireless), and name resolution protocols
