Manufacturing Process Engineer (RF Assembly)

Responsibilities
Support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment) in high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems
Support assembly processes involving adhesive/epoxy lamination including assembly stack up per technical specifications and curing in automated ovens
Work hand-in-hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing
Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis
Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues
Ability to spend 8+ hours per day in a clean room environment, following clean room and electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures
This role is for a day shift (start time range: 6 AM - 8 AM) with potential for 9/80 schedule
Qualification
Required
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience
6 mos of experience with automated machines used within the surface mount technology (SMT) or microelectronics industry
6 mos of manual and/or automated assembly of RF products
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Experience navigating technical requirements within military standards and other engineering data packages (i.e. product drawings)
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
Experience identifying key process parameters and implementing process control
Manufacturing experience with surface mount technology (SMT), microelectronics, and/or automated assembly equipment
Experience with AS9100 requirements for Special Processes
Experience with problem solving using data-driven approaches
Experience with technical writing, presentations, and communicating with cross-functional teams or experience levels
Process development and qualification experience
Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) experience
Technical writing experience for operator instructions, process and/or material qualification reports, equipment vendor statement of works, etc
