Senior Technical Business Analyst / Data Architect
MMD Services is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst / Data Architect to support a large-scale, enterprise loyalty platform within a complex systems environment. This role involves a mix of business analysis and data architecture, requiring strong stakeholder engagement and technical analysis skills.
Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to uncover true data and system requirements, going beyond high-level asks
Ask detailed, targeted questions to extract meaningful requirements from business and technical teams
Translate business needs into clear, actionable data and technical requirements
Proactively manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment, follow-through, and closed loops
Independently drive tasks forward, including scheduling meetings, sending invites, following up on documentation, and communicating progress
Comfortably engage with senior leadership, managing up through clear, proactive communication
Query, analyze, and validate data; confidently speak to the data with both technical and non-technical audiences
Work closely with: Loyalty Management Systems (LMS) teams, Reservations teams, Property Management Systems (PMS) teams
Navigate complex process flows and data integrations across multiple enterprise systems
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team and an existing architect on the Loyalty team
Participate in data and system design discussions, providing input on structure, flow, and integration patterns
Evaluate and understand data integration tools and pipelines, contributing to ongoing improvements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in a hybrid Business Analyst and Data Architecture role
Strong preference for candidates with hands-on data architecture experience
Not a fit for candidates who spent most of their career purely in data and recently transitioned into BA—modern data architecture experience is essential
Strong SQL skills
Experience with Snowflake and SQL Server
Solid understanding of: data modeling, data flows and integrations, business requirements gathering
Familiarity with modern data integration tools such as Airbyte (or similar)—understanding how they work and how to apply them
Ability to quickly learn enterprise platforms and complex system landscapes
Preferred
Experience supporting loyalty platforms or similar enterprise systems is a plus but not required
