PEM - Project Engineering Manager

Nolato GW, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities within their San Antonio facility. This role involves managing tooling projects, ensuring product quality, and supporting new product launches while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency.

Responsibilities

Supervise and collaborate with a team of project engineers, and tooling engineers
Develop training programs to enhance technical skills and promote continuous improvement
Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations
Analyze and improve injection molding processes to maximize efficiency and minimize scrap
Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive corrective actions
Oversee design, procurement, and maintenance of molds, and fixtures
Manage preventive maintenance of tools
Coordinate with customers and suppliers for tooling modifications and repairs
Collaborate with TDC and product development teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs
Lead engineering support for new product launches, including mold trials and validation
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards
Work closely with Quality Assurance to resolve process-related issues
Ensure adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects and non-conformances
Prepare and manage engineering department budgets
Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and material optimization

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Minimum 7+ years in injection molding manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
