Law Practice

Responsibilities

Work in the national management-side Employment, Labor & Workforce Management (ELWM) practice
Handle all aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting, and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances
Provide advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies

Required

Two to five years of relevant labor and employment law experience
Knowledge of federal and state labor & employment laws (e.g., wage and hour, trade secret law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, PAGA and similar state laws)
Experience handling all aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting, and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending court appearances
Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies
Strong academic credentials
Excellent communication and writing skills
Admission to practice law in Illinois

Preferred

Former experience as a federal court law clerk
