Quidient is a deep tech AI company pioneering advancements in Generalized Scene Reconstruction. They are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead QA testing for iOS applications, ensuring reliability and performance across their Edge applications.

Responsibilities
Lead QA testing for iOS applications, including feature validation, regression coverage, and performance profiling across multiple device types
Build and maintain automated test infrastructure using CI/CD frameworks
Develop and run profiling workflows to identify and diagnose performance constraints in CPU, GPU, memory, thermal behavior, and resource usage
Integrate and validate compiled artifacts (Objective-C, C, C++) delivered by algorithm teams, ensuring compatibility and stability
Create clear, repeatable test plans and documentation for features, test harnesses, tools, and findings
Collaborate across iOS, Algo, Solutions, and CX teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues from field tests or customer feedback
Contribute to continuous improvement of release workflows, code quality, and automated testing coverage
Build dashboards and reporting systems that surface test results, performance metrics, and regression signals to engineering leadership
Support long-term efforts to expand automation and eventually manage or influence human-in-the-loop testing processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–10+ years of experience in iOS software engineering, QA engineering, or mobile test automation
Strong proficiency with Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode, XCTest, and iOS profiling tools (e.g., Xcode Instruments)
Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD systems such as Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, or similar
Familiarity with Objective-C and C/C++ for validating compiled artifacts and integrating with lower-level components
Strong understanding of automated testing methodologies, regression testing, and performance analysis
Excellent communication skills, including clear reporting on test results, defects, and performance findings
Demonstrated ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work on-site in Columbia, MD, in a hybrid capacity

Preferred
Experience with Android or Flutter
Background in DevOps, cloud test environments, or artifact hosting systems such as JFrog
Experience collaborating with Customer Experience teams to troubleshoot field issues
Strong debugging background across distributed engineering teams
Understanding of 3D rendering pipelines or digital content creation in the metaverse/AR/VR space
