Do it Best is a member-owned cooperative in the home improvement industry, based in Fort Wayne, IN. They are seeking a Pricing Analyst to partner with Merchandising Managers to review pricing data and ensure proper price image while maximizing margin opportunities, as well as participate in special projects to align pricing strategy with overall category strategy.

Responsibilities

Partner with Merchandising Managers to review pricing data and apply established corporate strategies

Ensure member owners maintain a proper price image while maximizing margin opportunities

Share expertise and pricing recommendations during regular collaborative touch points with merchandising teams

Develop within reporting and communication tools while advocating for member owners

Participate on special projects working closely with various positions in Merchandising to ensure overall category strategy is accurately reflected in the retail price strategy

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience

Prior experience with Excel, Access, and Google Suite to produce highly-detailed and accurate analyses and reports

Excellent analytic capabilities - by analyzing pricing data

Excellent communication skills (strong verbal and written)

Ability to develop relationships, work in a team environment, and effectively influence

Willingness to learn and be adaptable

Self-directed, able to work with little supervision

Must possess a high level of accuracy

Creative problem solving skills

Ability to understand pricing concepts and have a good aptitude for working with numbers

Preferred

Related experience in the home improvement industry

Related experience in retail or corporate merchandising
