Montgomery County is a diverse community located adjacent to Washington, D.C., and is seeking a Supervisory Therapist for its Department of Health and Human Services. The role involves managing the operations of the Outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment Program and providing administrative and clinical supervision to staff.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and clinical supervision to MAT professional therapists and other staff
Address the day-to-day management needs of the MAT team and programs and services
Supervise professional therapists and other staff's assessments, referrals, case work, professional clinical counseling and therapy, and related services provided by to persons presenting with emotional, behavioral, substance abuse and related types of problems
Conduct annual staff performance reviews and meets with staff regularly
Ensure that staff's adherence to equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements and pertinent County policies and procedures

Required

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, nursing, or a related behavioral science field
Four (4) years of professional clinical counseling experience including at least one (1) year at the supervisory/lead level
One of the following licenses, issued by the State of Maryland, must be held prior to the appointment of, and maintained by the employee: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC); Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapy (LCMFT); Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC); Licensed Certified Social Worker/Clinical (LCSW-C); Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; or Licensed Psychologist
Possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license from the applicant's state of residence

Preferred

Experience supervising social workers, counselors, or therapists
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorder
Experience working in one of the following practice settings (mental hospital, behavioral health clinic or a jail-based behavioral health program)
Experience managing a Medication Assist Treatment or an Opioid Treatment Program
Preference for interview will be given to qualified candidates with Bilingual Spanish Proficiency
