Responsibilities
Process paper and electronic claims to payers with full and complete information to satisfy and facilitate the claim for payment
Work payer acceptance/reject reports and produce accurate and timely claims in order to prevent denials and maximize reimbursement
Responsible for working claim edits within the patient accounting system and claim scrubber edits prior to final submission
In conjunction with management, develop/suggest appropriate operational improvements to insure appropriate billing patterns
Perform necessary follow-up to ensure claims are resolved
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma, required
Intermediate Knowledge of Health Insurance
Medical Terminology
Preferred
Associates degree, preferred
2 years billing experience, preferred
EPIC experience, preferred
