Responsibilities

In partnership with the COO, create and execute a comprehensive branding strategy for student recruitment, teacher recruitment, and community awareness
Manage digital and print campaigns (e.g., social media ads, radio, billboards, flyers) to increase local brand recognition
Oversee marketing budgets in collaboration with the Student Recruitment and Talent teams
Align all media content to brand guidelines and strategic goals
Lead all regional social media accounts and develop a clear content calendar
Oversee the design and updates of the regional website
Develop and implement email campaigns and newsletters for families, staff, and external stakeholders
Monitor analytics and engagement data to inform strategy adjustments
Write press releases, op-eds, and feature stories that elevate KIPP Jacksonville’s voice in the community
Support communication needs related to annual fundraisers and donor events in partnership with the Development team
Serve as the central point of contact for all staff-facing and public-facing communications
Design high-impact marketing materials, such as fact cards, event signage, and school-specific recruitment items
Create branded regional “swag” (e.g., shirts, gifts, nameplates, email signatures)
Ensure consistent brand identity across presentations, social posts, and printed media
Maintain and organize a photo archive and public relations clippings for use in future storytelling

Required

Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in social media platforms, email marketing tools, and CMS/web management
Comfort with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Experience in a nonprofit, charter school, or mission-driven organization
Understanding of brand strategy and storytelling in educational or equity-focused settings
Familiarity with photography, video editing, or content management systems
