Responsibilities
Troubleshoot electronic systems and devices
Assemble and connect system components (i.e. switches, cameras, card readers, etc.)
Test system functionality and analyze data
Repair malfunctions in security system circuitry, devices and system components
Read and comprehend schematics, manuals and diagrams
Update reports and maintain inventory tracking
Collaborate and clearly communicate with engineers and other professionals on technical tasks while on site and in meetings
Be available to work overnight / overtime when required
Ability to travel to/from multiple sites as needed
Qualification
Required
Must be comfortable working from a lift (at approx. 20ft) on occasions
Must be comfortable working from a 12' A-frame ladder on occasions
Must have and be able to use hand tools, drills and testers
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
Must be able to portray comfort and confidence while on site and working with others
High school or equivalent diploma
A valid driver's license and vehicle is required to perform duties of the position
Preferred
7+ yrs security systems industry experience as a technician is preferred
Experience within access control, CCTV, intercom, fiber optics, system infrastructure and networking
Ability to maintain accurate records and meeting required maintenance schedules
Works well with peers and contractors to maintain the high ethical standards required by clients
Must be available and willing to work extended hours as needed, to meet business needs and deliver commitments
College or Technical Institute diplomas a plus
Systems or manufacturer's equipment certifications a plus
