Business Development Capture Strategy Leader (Senior, Lead)
Boeing is seeking a Business Development Capture Strategy Leader to support Boeing Technology Innovation. The role focuses on creating business relationships with external R&D entities to achieve technology goals, while providing strategic intelligence and leading new business initiatives.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic intelligence and engage potential external customers to identify / create / shape strategic new business opportunities (commonly referred to as Contracted Research & Development or CRAD)
Advise BTI leadership and technology teams on new business (CRAD) objectives and goals
Lead regularly scheduled new business meetings with the BTI technology teams to review campaign activities and status
Develop and disseminate status of new business capture and forecasts (e.g. “opportunity pipeline”)
Chair external new business Gate Review Board and facilitate gate decisions and authorize funding for new business activities (Marketing Assist, Bid & Proposal)
Assists in preparing proposals by developing themes and discriminators and ensures correct members are on the team
Establishes, maintains and expands network to address customer needs and keep lines of communication open
Leads strategic external capture customer engagement planning for exhibits and sponsorships
Provide guidance for external new business using lessons learned from win/loss feedback
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineer, science, marketing, business or suitable degree
3+ years of experience working with the US Government acquisition process
3+ years of experience in business development and strategy in aerospace or equivalent industries
3+ years of experience with business development, including research, planning, marketing, execution, and customer retention
3+ years of experience in new business development, including shaping, proposal writing, and winning government contracts
Ability to travel domestically and internationally; predominately domestic travel
Experience communicating with technical experts and explaining difficult technical concepts to non-technical business users
Preferred
Advanced degree (beyond Bachelor's) in engineering, science, marketing, business
Technical/experience background particularly around Aerospace Research & Technology, flight testing, test & evaluation
Background and/or experience working with and experience fostering relationships with DoD customers (e.g. AFRL, ONR, ARL, DARPA, etc), NASA and/or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) particularly its Technology organization
Knowledge of or experience with the Government (funding) / Defense Requirements and Acquisition processes
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is preferred
