Responsibilities
Perform and review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities, compliance gaps, and mitigation strategies
Design and engineer secure solutions supporting cyber threat and defensive operations
Provide technical guidance to ISSOs, ISSEs, and ISSMs
Automate threat assessments, security posture reporting, and system monitoring
Analyze and report security posture trends to leadership
Implement and validate security controls aligned to CIA, authentication, and non-repudiation principles
Recommend and implement remediation actions or risk acceptance during certification, testing, and operations
Mentor and lead other ISSEs
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI
DoD 8570 IAT/IAM/IASAE Level III certification
8–12 years of relevant technical experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
Proven ability to design, build, deploy, and troubleshoot systems from the ground up
Strong experience across compliance frameworks (NIST, RMF/JSIG, SCTM)
Experience with hyperscale environments, architecture, and integration
Automation and security reporting experience
Hands-on, day-one depth across Active Directory (AD DS, ADFS, AD CS, WSUS), GPOs
Hands-on, day-one depth across ePO, ACAS, Splunk, STIG/SCAP, YUM automation
Hands-on, day-one depth across Azure VPN Gateways, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics
Hands-on, day-one depth across SAP system security
Hands-on, day-one depth across SQL Server STIG hardening
Hands-on, day-one depth across network compliance regulations
Hands-on, day-one depth across understanding of tool behavior in hyperscale environments
Preferred
5+ years of technical or cybersecurity leadership experience
Microsoft Azure or cloud security certifications
