InterChange Group, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician to assist in the maintenance and repair of trailers and other equipment. The role involves performing inspections, repairs, and other duties to ensure the operational efficiency of the company's equipment.

Responsibilities

Assist the company mechanics in performing general & ongoing maintenance and repair on all InterChange trailers, and other equipment when capable and needed

Work independently while assessing the general condition of equipment between scheduled preventative maintenance

Perform simple repairs without direct supervision

Complete and submit required paperwork

Position will be open for additional formal and informal training both mechanical and potentially in the pursuit of a Class A CDL if qualified

Perform all duties professionally and in a manner which promotes the positive image, growth, profitability, and success of the company

Perform all duties with a high degree of integrity and transparency

Assist in other operational departments if/when the need arises

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Mechanical experienceDriver’s licenseSafety orientedLift 75 lbsFlexibility in assignments

Required

Minimum H.S. degree required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Mechanical experience and/or aptitude required

Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with occasional weekend assignments

Willingness to travel with mechanics to other company locations when the need arises. This may require very occasional overnight stays

Driver's license with suitable Motor Vehicle Record

Ability to lift/carry minimum of 75 lbs., safely climb ladders/stairs, enter and exit trailers from ground level

Ability to remain flexible in work assignments/scheduled hours

Safety oriented and willing to take steps to perform all functions safely utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper procedures for the use of tools and other equipment
