Responsibilities

Perform daily bill audits to validate accuracy of charges, rates, and meter reads

Manage and monitor special contract accounts, ensuring compliance with negotiated terms and accurate billing

Oversee summary billing processes for large commercial and industrial customers

Implement and maintain SOX controls related to billing and revenue assurance activities

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing, metering, and revenue reporting

Develop and maintain audit trails for regulatory and internal compliance

Collaborate with Billing, Credit, Collections, and IT teams to resolve systemic issues and prevent revenue leakage

Prepare and analyze revenue assurance reports, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions

Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and data

Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy and operational efficiency

Train and mentor team members on revenue assurance practices, compliance standards, and system updates

Participate in system testing, upgrades, and implementation of new billing and audit tools

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, related field or related field or 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree

7+ years of experience in revenue assurance, billing, or financial compliance

Proficiency in Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS) or similar utility billing systems

Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of utility rate structures, tariffs, and regulatory requirements

Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop

Able to sit for extended periods of time

Able to operate a copy machine, fax machine, calculator, telephone and other miscellaneous office equipment

Able to exert up to 10 Lbs. of force occasionally, and /or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects
