Responsibilities
Operate a console telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing and inter-facility calls
Perform various hospital communication duties such as overhead paging, beeper paging, monitoring alarms, gas levels and fire alarms, and alerting personnel of impending disasters, fires and codes notifying appropriate personnel as required
Train new hires, keep resources updated, clean the work space, and perform all other duties deemed necessary by the management team
Qualification
Required
Basic reading comprehension required
Ability to perform calmly, competently and quickly in emergency situations required
Ability to fluently speak and understand English required
Preferred
Multiline telephone system or Call Center experience preferred
Healthcare experience preferred
High School Graduate or GED is preferred
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with at least a 30 words per minute speed
