Responsibilities
Analyze and work with complex data sets using Teradata and Hadoop
Develop and maintain scripts for data integration, cleaning, transformation, and control
Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and other data engineers to implement data requirements
Conduct research, analyze performance, and troubleshoot issues
Contribute to story refinement and defining requirements
Assist team with resolving technical complexities
Assemble large, complex data sets to meet functional/non-functional requirements
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, and workload management
Define and build data pipelines for informed decision-making
Contribute to existing test suites and analyze test reports
Document and communicate required information for deployment and maintenance
Adhere to team delivery/release processes
Identify gaps in data management standards and develop plans to close them
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior Data Engineers
Qualification
Required
7 years' experience as an Analyst or Developer
5 years of advanced SQL experience and understanding of relational databases
5 years of experience with Teradata and utilities (BTEQ, TPT, etc.)
3 years of experience working on Pyspark, Impala/Hive
Experience with scheduling software such as Autosys, shell scripting experience and experience with Bitbucket, Github, Ansible
Preferred
Experience with Oracle, Tableau, .NET, JIRA, Data Management tools, GitHub CoPilot
Knowledge of Global Technology, Enterprise Data Management & Enterprise Data Architecture programs, strategies, and standards
3 years of service in the financial industry with reporting and development experience
Applicants must be able to work directly on W2
Proficient in Agile software delivery practices
Advanced skills with Client Office suite software (Excel, Access, SharePoint)
Exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and timeline management
Effective communication skills with both business and technology partners
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience
